Video Editors/Producers

Introduction

As part of its Mission and charity provision to advance education in the fields of  horticulture and conservation the Trust makes videos for public education. These are published on the Trust's own YouTube Channel which is publicly viewable without restriction.

 

All videos are made by the Trust 'in-house' and do not have any outside influence, finance or constraint. All videos abide by  the Trust's ethos regarding non-discrimination,  human and animal rights, rights, and non-political affiliation.

 

Organisation

The Stephen Cox Garden Trust is looking for a video editors to assist with production of videos  and films.

This is a virtual opportunity so no travelling or on site visits/activity is required (although you may visit if you wish)

You can choose to create a video or film in one of three ways:

(a) From the text of one of our web pages.

(b) About a subject which interests you which relates to the work of the Trust and (in consultation with us)

(c) Making videos with material  in the form of photographs and audio clips will be supplied.

 

Your work will include: 
1. To create opening title/text sequence
2. Closing text and credits sequence
3. Helping to sequence/order the photos to relate to the text.
4. Choosing music for the video (this must either be public domain or via a musician who allows their music to be used for charities/non profits) .

The closing credits will include:
1. Your name as director/editor.
2. Name of musician
3. Trust as sponsor (or in the case of c. photographer/narrator/creator).
4. Link to our website.

We have several videos which need to be made. You can make a choice as to which one(s) you want to do do.  (The appointed Video Editors can if they so wish also visit our garden to make their own video for YouTube).

 

On conclusion: (i) You will produce a final report on your achievements/role. (ii) Receive a testimonial from the Trust. (iii) Be able to list the Trust as one of your References for job applications.

(Additionally Video Editors can if they so wish make their own video about their involvement with the Trust which we can post on our YouTube channel)
