Websites and Publishing

Purpose

The purpose of the Trust as designated by its registration (17th.August 217) in the Charity Commission register of charities  is:

"1. To advance education in the subjects of horticulture and conservation in particular but not exclusively by means of: making videos; specialist library; public literature; research; mentoring; websites; placements . 2. Such charitable purposes for the public benefit as are exclusively charitable according to the laws of England and Wales as the trustees may from time to time determine" 

 

Thus additional to its charitable and educational work in other arenas and by other methods  the Trust has taken steps to help ensure the promulgation of its provisions and research in education in these subjects via promotion and publishing on the internet and social media as well as publishing of documents and research electronically.

 

In due course the Trust may also publish books and pamphlets.

Subjects

The subjects and considerations under which the Trust is publishing are in the main arenas of:

Education: including . Pedagogy,  Humanism,  Teaching Methods,  Courses, Placements,  Gardening, Wildlife,  Design/Landscape.

Conservation including:  Renewable Energy;     Pollution;   Animal Rights;    Climate Change;    Rewilding;  Species Decline;      Habitats;     Landscape restoration.     Circular Economy.     Oceans & Waterways .

Research: including: heritage, well-being, planetary healing,  conservation, international friendship/association/exchange 

Documents:  Many documents have been produced so far in a variety of subjects. Methods/Technology/Platforms

Publishing and dissemination and public information and research via internet and electronic media is taking several forms. These include but are not restricted to:

(i) Websites- the trust so far has four of its own websites which are: Main,  Arcadia, Philomathes,  GoogleBusiness

(ii) Social Media Platforms- The trust has its own profiles and accounts on:  (i) Facebook.   (iii) Xing.  (iv) LinkedIn.  (v) Instagram.  (vi) Workaway.

Other platforms will be added in due course. 

(iii) Associated Organisation : Whilst the Trust is fully independent and has no outside influence or constraint it does however additionally further its work via association with other non-government organisations, educational initiatives and also relevant businesses across the UK and Europe committed to conservation and planetary healing.  

At present these include: (i) Tales of Sustainability (Germany).  (ii) Calne Heritage Nature Reserve (England)
