The purpose of the Trust (registered charity number 1174239) is the advancement of education in horticulture and conservation including the appreciation of  heritage. 

It fulfils these goals in a number of ways including but not restricted to:

 

●Maintain & develop its unusual conservation garden, plant collections and landscaping.

●Maintain & develop its unique library and

●Education: horticulture and conservation.
●Information sheets wildlife & conservation.
●Conservation research.
●E.U. placements.
●Websites
●Conservation remote posts UK universities.
●Videos: conservation, gardens, art history.
●Book publishing: conservation, gardening,wel-being.
●Webinars & lectures

 

(☆TERMINATED PROVISIONS:  Following a six year review of the trust activities and provisions it has been decided that  items below are terminated as they were not adequately accessed/taken up.

•Environmental improvement schemes •Skills/studies UK students yrs 12&13. •Training/skill enhancement young unemployed.      • Supervised visits for local schools. •Community Projects. •Relaxation visits for residents of nursing/retirement homes. •Help for adults with learning difficulties. •Occasional local wildlife audits.  •Library available to local students.

The Trust will now concentrate on those for which there is interest, uptake and support.
